Alpine health tourism and sustainable wellbeing perspectives in the high Ossola valley (Italy)

Abstract

Nel quadro complesso e dinamico del turismo della salute e del benessere, meglio noto come health tourism, il progetto innovativo HEALPS2 ha raggiunto risultati promettenti e interessanti, indagati dal presente contributo sia sotto il profilo metodologico che operativo. Obiettivo principale del progetto è quello di combinare conoscenze e approcci sviluppati da ricercatori ed esperti del settore pubblico e privato, con le conoscenze di cui sono depositari le associazioni locali e le organizzazioni pubbliche territoriali. L'intento è quello di offrire spunti utili a migliorare la pianificazione dello sviluppo turistico futuro nell'ambito delle regioni rurali e marginali alpine. HEALPS2 ha sviluppato un modello di valorizzazione delle risorse naturali legato alle pratiche ed esperienze di turismo del benessere in una prospettiva sostenibile. Il contributo esplora le forme e le caratteristiche di tale turismo e offre una panoramica sulla struttura, la metodologia e i risultati di una specifica ricerca-azione condotta nelle valli ossolane, in Piemonte.
