Urban geography, landscape, regional geography, methodology of geographical research, visual geography, tourism.

ACADEMIC CAREER

Ph.D in Geography. Researcher since 2000, he has worked at Trinity College of Dublin, at the
Universities of Exter, Vienna, Moscow (Lomonossov), Seville, in the Department of Sciences of the
University of the Tuscia and in the Faculty of Architecture of La Sapienza University of Rome.
He is now teaching Urban Geography and Landscape Geography for the degree course in History,
Anthropology, Religion and for the degree in Ethno-anthropological disciplines.
He has collaborated in projects and national and international cultural and scientific initiatives and
with many different national institutions, associations and research centers such as the Italian
Geographical Society, Italian Association of Geography Teachers (AIIG), Treccani, Eurispes, Cnel, RST
(Research and Study on the Territory). He is responsible for the Erasmus agreement with the
University of Lleida, Seville, Barcelona, Paris VII, Vincennes-Saint Denis, Mainz. He has been
responsible for the photographic archive of the Italian Geographical Society.
He is a member of the Editorial Committee and/or Scientific Committee of the magazines: geography
of the EDIGEO; territorial documents; six-monthly publication of Studies and Research in Geography
by the La Sapienza University of Rome. Since 2012 has been full member of the research
commission of La Sapienza University of Rome. He is the author of around 100 publications (books,
monographs, articles).
