ACADEMIC CAREER
PhD in Geography from the University of Valencia. He has studied in Italian universities (Parma, Macerata, and Vercelli) and he has been visiting professor at Miami University (Ohio, USA, 2008 and 2011). He is the author of books about the urban reality of the city of Valencia (“Valencia, the city", 2011, Ed.Tirant lo Blanch). He collaborates with the Valencian Association of Entrepreneurs (AVE) and the Chamber of Commerce of Valencia in different issues on economy and territory and he has also worked on the Mediterranean axis inside the TEN-T project (European Union). He has been awarded with some research awards such as the “Demetrio Ribes” Award of Engineering, Planning and Public Works of the Generalitat Valenciana (2005) and the Politic Essay Award “Ramon Trias Fargas” (2009) for an essay on economic and territorial relations between Catalonia and Valencia: " The Catalan-Valencian Commonwealth” He writes monthly in the newspaper “La Vanguardia” (Barcelona) on political and social topics.
