ACADEMIC CAREER

She has been laboratory lecturer in the Didactics of Geography in the Degree Course of Primary
Education Sciences at the LUMSA University, since the academic year 1999-2000 to date. She is the
creator and coordinator in charge of “Geografica-mente”, a permanent online research-action
laboratory for the development of geographic thought and the Research-Didactics relationship, set
up within the AIIG.She is President of the Rome Section of the Italian Association of Geography
Teachers.She lectures in training and refresher courses for teachers of all school types and levels.
She has participated in projects of environmental Education of the WWF and Development
Education of UNICEF. Since 1995 she has been a member of the editorial committee of the
magazine “Ambiente Società Territorio”. She collaborates with numerous scientific and didactic
journals, among which: “Semestrale di Studi e Ricerche di Geografia”, “Scuola Italiana Moderna”, “La
Vita Scolastica”, “il mondodomani”. She is the author of over two hundred publications, including
books, chapters of books and articles.
